What if I've never baked bread before?

How much time does the course take?
This is a go-at-your-own-pace online course, which means you're the bread boss! Move through the lessons as fast or slow as you like, and feel free to start, stop, and pick it back up again to fit your life and schedule.
If you bake one loaf of bread per week, it will take you about 6 months to bake through this course.
Do I need a stand mixer, bread machine, or special equipment?
Nope! In fact, we encourage you to make our bread recipes by hand so you can get a feel for how each dough should behave and perform - no fancy stand mixer required!
We love baking bread in a Dutch oven, but it’s not necessary to start – we’ll walk you through a handful of equipment alternatives so you can start where you are without having to buy anything. As the course progresses, we do encourage you to invest in a kitchen scale – they’re inexpensive but wonderful if you bake a lot!
Can't I find this stuff for free online?
You can find anything online these days! But the trouble with finding everything online for free is you have to wade through a lot of poorly written articles, tons of ads, recipes that don't work, etc. – which sucks up your valuable time and energy,
